When GenCon was in Milwaukee, you felt like you were in someone else’s downtown. The Milwaukee downtown has character. It’s an individual. The Indianapolis downtown is like a massive extension of the convention center. The streets are broad, straight, and sterile.

There's a weird intersection a few blocks from the convention center with a roof over it.

Plenty of costumes.

The costume contest was packed.

Wizards debuted Star Wars miniatures.

My pick of GenCon was Dogs in the Vineyard, by Vincent Baker.

Old and new members of RPG R&D.

Peter’s dead-dog party. One guy pretended to smash against a glass door just as the security guard was opening it. Bad timing.
